Grandorado TN son Mister SFN wins final five-year-olds

Release date: 31/08/2022

In Valkenswaard the Grandorado TN son Mister SFN just won the Blom Cup title under Hessel Hoekstra after a hard fought battle. They left 24 combinations behind in the jump-off.
Of the 40 combinations 25 went clear in the first round and that resulted in exciting sport in the jump-off. Fast riding appeared to be an absolute must and that is something the majority of the riders are familiar with here.

Convincing clear rounds
Hessel Hoekstra delivered a fantastic performance by coming forward as the winner with Springpaardenfonds II's Mister SFN (stb.name Manana Manana van de Reesterhof, Grandorado TN out of Valery ster pref prest PROK by Haarlem, breeder Ton Lautenschutz from Ruurlo) after an excellent clear round. The Blom Cup is a good indicator to see how horses compare to their peers and with this performance Mister SFN fully complies with the mission of the Dutch Springpaardenfonds. "Mister SFN has a lot of quality and he jumps better every day. It's great to win with him", a happy Hessel Hoekstra commented. Ruben Dario Ramirez was in the lead for a long time with Maximus Quantum Leap (Carrera VDL out of Bolette TH ster PROK by Indoctro, breeder K.B. Huygen from Eemdijk), who came in the hands of Auke de Jong and Petra Strikwerda as a foal through the KWPN Online Foal Auction. In the end it gave them a nice second place. "I am very satisfied with this! My biggest task was to make sure that he would stay relaxed, then things go almost automatically with him", the rider responded. Another very fast duo took third place, the best mare in this group: Murosa (Zambesi by Furosa keur sport-spr by Namelus R, breeder T. Verberk from Oploo) under Maxime Thefenne. As best stallion the extra galloping and ditto jumping Mindset ES (Aganix du Seigneur by Hosanne ES keur sport-spr pref by Kannan, f/g Egbert Schep) under Jarno van Erp finished completely clear in fifth place. The best ten combinations are qualified for the WC in Lanaken.
