Nina Quite wins Blom Cup four-year-olds

Release date: 31/08/2022

The final day of the Blom Cup was kicked off by the four year olds and that yielded good sport. Under Megan Laseur the Andiamo de Semilly daughter Nina Quite jumped to the title.

The judging was in the hands of Marc van Dijck and Bart Henstra, who provided all 25 finalists with an explanation. They could put several nines in the top of the ranking. Three mares occupied the podium.

With a 9.5 for jumping and an 8.2 for going between the fences, Nina Quite (Andiamo Semilly out of Cecampione elite IBOP-spr sport-spr PROK by Quite Capitol) bred by Cor and Margriet Kuin from Lepelstraat with Megan Laseur jumped convincingly to victory. "This mare has a very good canter, very fast reflexes and a super technique. A very talented show jumper that has all the right qualities", said Bart Henstra. There was a lot of quality in the leading group, as well as second-placed Lourdes elite EPTM-spr D-OC (Catch by Escada by Cachas) from Marco Zeekaf, ridden by Sanna Bergs-Olsson. This mare already stood out positively in the mare test, in which she passed with 80 points. "This mare is very easy to ride, has a lot of canter and a lot of power. She jumps with a good technique and a lot of athletic ability. Lourdes received twice a 9. With a 9 and an 8.9, Stal Hendrix's keur mare Notate JDV (Jacadello out of Hantate stb-ext PROK by Lamm de Fetan, breeder Jean Dresen from Valkenburg) did good business under Stephanie Whitworth. Yesterday they finished second in the semi finals, now third in the final. "This mare has a lot of power and although she is a bit horizontal in the balance, she jumps with very good manners every time. Definitely a horse for the future," said Marc van Dijck.
