56 clear six-year-olds in first part championships

A nice group of 115 six-year-old show jumpers started today in the first part of the Blom Cup. Almost half of them had a clear round.
For the first time all horses that finished the first part of the Blom Cup, can go to the second part that is on the programme tomorrow at 08.30 hours. Today they had a fair course at 1.30m level in the beautiful grass arena of the Tops International Arena in Valkenswaard.

Good start
In the first part of the semi-final of the KWPN Championship for six-year-old show jumpers 56 combinations stayed clear. Among them the KWPN approved stallions Lambada Shake AG (Aganix du Seigneur by Grappa AG of Spartacus, breeder Alex Gisbertz) and Lambrusco (Entertainer by Total Touch stb-ext pref prest by Lux, breeder Pieter Keunen), both ridden by Pieter Keunen, The former stallion selection champion Liverpool (Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve by Dauphine, daughter of IBOP-spr pref prest by Lux, breeder Bart Derksen from Steenderen) under Robert Puck and Lay Out (Verdi by Vallei Roos elite prest PROK by Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve, breeder J.J. Ilbrink and J.H. Ilbrink-Lueks from Geesteren) under Kristian Houwen. Also the KWPN approved stallions Levi VDL (Arezzo VDL out of Erusa ster EPTM-spr D-OC by Diamant de Semilly, breeder E. Reyrink from Diessen) under Marcel de Boer, La Costa ES (Mosito van het Hellehof out of Isolde ES elite sport-spr pref PROK by Cumano, f/g Egbert Schep) with Gerd-Jan Horsmans and Lord of Farming HS (Balou du Rouet out of Doutzen stb by Clinton, breeder Gebroeders Bosch from Luttenberg) under Caroline Müller. Among the breeders who stood out in this first section were Stal Hendrix (3), VDL Stud (4) and Jean Dresen (3), with several faultless breeding products.
