Just like the six-year-olds, the first part of the Blom Cup is also over for the five-year-olds. A nice number of 69 combinations held on to zero.

This morning, 130 five-year-olds started on the sand track of Tops International Arena in the KWPN championship for the Blom Cup.
A little more than half, 69 participants, finished with a nice clear round and got off to an excellent start. The second round of the semi-finals will be held tomorrow. The KWPN-approved stallions, among others, remained zero today:
- La Costa ES (Mosito van het Hellehof out of Isolde ES elite sport-spr PROK by Cumano) from breeder Egbert Schep under Gerd Jan Horsmans
- Lord of Farming HS (Balou du Rouet out of Doutzen stb by Clinton, breeder Gebroeders Bosch of Luttenberg) under Caroline Müller
- L'Extreme BH (Canturo out of Shou d'Ouilly by Calvaro Z, breeders A. and F. Lebon) under Johnny Pals
- Legend VDP (Grand Slam VDL out of Cendy VDP elite IBOP-spr sport-spr PROK D-OC by Triomphe de Muze) from breeders Arend and Arend-Jan van de Pol under Henk Frederiks

Last year's Blom Cup champion also remained clear today: Lamborghini (Dallas VDL out of Wiske ster sport-jump PROK by Kojak, breeder of the Testers family from Kruisland) under Stijn Testers. All participants with a maximum of eight penalty points may continue to tomorrow.
