Battle for the Five and Six-year-olds Finals

Today all combinations gave their best to earn a place in the final. The five, six and seven-year-olds had to jump a Two Phases course in the second part of the semi-final and the four-year-olds were judged on their style.

Five-year-olds: Kyfo wins with Johan Bergs
37 combinations again managed to jump a clear in this second round. The 30 best are qualified for the Final. To determine the best 30 the time of the second phase was decisive. Johan Bergs delivered the best performance with Kyfo (Comme Il Faut out of Gucci elite sport-spr PROK by Chellthago Z, breeder J.G.N.E. van Dooren from Boekel). The pair was the only one to finish the second phase in less than 30 seconds. Elisah Aarts finished a close runner-up with Kyaklahoma ster (Carrera VDL out of Zoklahoma ster pref prest by Emilion) of VDL Stud, with Giovanni Romano in third with Kaspar R (Eldorado van de Zeshoek out of Termieque elite prest PROK by Baloubet du Rouet, breeder M. Rietberg from Holten). Kaspar is closely related to the KWPN approved stallion Grandorado.
The KWPN approved stallion Kardinaal HX (Don Diablo HX out of Wimette ster sport-spr by Karandasj, breeder Stal Hendrix) also qualified for the final with Pieter Keunen.

Six-year-olds: Just Special
Doron Kuipers won the second part of the semi-final for six-year-olds with the Falaise de Muze mare Just Special VK.
Two KWPN approved stallions made it into the top 30 in the Blom Cup for six-year-olds. The top three after two rounds consists of Doron Kuipers with Just Special VK (Falaise de Muze out of Energy VK stb-ext PROK by Toulon, breeder Mark van Kleef from Ede), followed by Bert-Jan Zuidema with Janko (Glasgow van ’t Merelsnest out of Tarona van Navarone, breeder A. van Oers-Beerendonk from Oud Gastel) and Larissa Bijl with Just Be Gentle (Tyson out of Be Gentle sport-spr prest PROK by Ticallux Verte, breeder Pascal Knijnenbug from Deurne). Steven Veldhuis had the KWPN approved stallion Je Suis Equus Tame (Qlassic Bois Margot out of Tame Tame by Quaprice Z, breeder S.N.C. Brohier from St.Come du Mont) in good form in Valkenswaard and was rewarded with two clear rounds. This earned him a start in the final as did Jarno van Erp who rode the KWPN approved stallion Jacquet-Go (Thunder van de Zuuthoeve out of Trophie Tinea Go keur sport-spr prest by Lux), breeder is Harry van de Goor.
