Tops International Arena hosts Dutch top young horses

The beautiful facility of Tops International Arena will be host to the best four, five, six and seven-year-old KWPN horses from Monday 17 till Wednesday 19 August. They will battle for the prestigious Blom Cup.

On Monday the five and six-year-old jumping stallions’s conformation will be judged. In addition the first part of the semi-final for five, six and seven-year-olds will start including the first viewing of the five and six-year-old stallions.

It will be a challenge for twofold winner Bas Moerings and Ipsthar (by Denzel v’t Meulenhof out of Vesta stb prest by Farmer, breeder J. Moerings from Oud Gastel) to win for a third time in a row and score a hat-trick. Last year’s top three in the five and six-year-old category will also take part this year to see where they stand among the other competitors. These are the five-year-olds Kaiden (by Chaman out of Charistia Z by Crawford, breeder A.M. Angenent-de Bruijn from Woubrugge), Kallas (by Dallas VDL out of Fadessa H2 elite ibop-spr PROOK by Quality Time, breeder A.F.W. Holkenborg from Haaksbergen) and King Blue (by Zirocco Blue out of Gonita elite ibop-spr PROK by Andiamo, breeder J. and G. Hiemstra-Dijkstra from Dronrijp) and the six-year-old horses Jager (by Numero Uno out of Contiki elite pref sport PROK by Carthago, breeder S.J. Kat BV from Egmond aan den Hoef), Jesther (by Cardento out of Vesther keur prest sport by Guidam, breeder J. Moering from Oud Gastel) and Jean Couture (by Arezzo VDL out of Douglas ster voorl keur by Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve, breeder De Radstake BV from Varsseveld). In addition several approved stallion will take part in this battle for the title.

The conformation evaluation for four-year-old jumping stallions takes place on Tuesday 19 August as well as the second part of the semi-final for five, six and seven-year-olds. The five and six-year-old jumping stallions will also have their conformation evaluation. In the other arena the four-year-old jumping horse will take part in the semi-final as well as the first evaluation of the four-year-old jumping stallions.

The very best jumping horses take central stage in the Blom Cup on Wednesday 19 August. Who will win the champions titles? We will know after the finals of each age category.
