Release date: 16/07/2019
When Henk van de Pol enters the arena with his Looyman Z (ZANG, Numero Uno x Wellington) victory is often in sight and that is what happened today in the CSI2* Grand Prix (1.45m). They won all three classes for eight-year-olds last year in Valkenswaard en last weekend they won the Grand Prix in Knokke, Belgium. “This horse is ready for the big classes, such as the Longines Global Champions Tour. He is incredibly fast. I rode the same lines as the other riders but still we were the fastest.” Belgium’s Andres Vereecke finished runner-up with Igor van de Wittemoere (BWP, Cooper v. Heffinck x Orlando) followed by Italy’s Alberto Zorzi with Cinsey (HOLST, Contendro I x For Pleasure) in third.Earlier Holland’s Aniek Diks won the 2* 1.35m class with the stallion Winston Jumper R (Cantos x Concorde), repeating yesterday’s good performance. Belgium’s Alexander Housen and Esprit van de Wellington (BWP, Orlando x Gratianus) finished runners-up and Poland’s Grzegorz Kubiak took third place with the stallion Szuler (Luron x Kissovo).
