Tops International Arena prepares for Longines Global Future Champions

Release date: 20/06/2019

The organisation at Tops International Arena is preparing for the two upcoming events in July after three very successful events in May. The two events are all about young talent, both two- and four-legged. Last year the young competitors and their parents were full of praise: “What a great accommodation and everything is organised perfectly. Astonishing what we see here in Valkenswaard. And the BBQ and disco, we would not want to miss that for the world.”

The first event in July, the Longines Global Future Champions Young Horses/CSI-V, will be held from 15 until 17 July. The world’s top riders will come to Valkenswaard with their young horses (five to eight-year-olds) to gain experience. It is very important for these future champions to jump in this perfect setting. Belgium’s top rider Jos Verlooy emphasises the importance: “It is super here for the young horses. Just see what my young horses have learnt here in the past few weeks. It is all part of their training. The circumstances here are perfect.”
In addition to the competitions for young horses TIA will be hosting the AJA Tour, a competition series for older amateurs. This series compromises of 12 competitions in eight countries. These riders don’t compete for the prizemoney but for the honour and fun.

In the weekend, from 19 until 21 July, the showgrounds will be filled with upcoming young talent on two legs: U25, Young Riders, Juniors, Children and pony riders. Last year riders from no less than 32 nations competed fiercely and created a great atmosphere.

In addition to the competition a lot of activities are organised in Valkenswaard. Two events you should not miss!
