Schwizer unbeatable
Release date: 14/05/2019
The CSI2* Big Tour (1.45m) offered some exciting sport and it was Swiss top rider Pius Schwizer who finally had the fastest clear round. The first rider with a clear round was France’s Frederic Bouvard, but his time was soon bettered by Belgium’s Pieter Clemens and Karline De Brabander. Scott Brash took over the lead until Pius Schwizer entered the arena met Chaquilot (OS, Chacco Blue x Quilot). The 56 year old rider from Oensingen crossed the finish line in 72.62 seconds and nobody was able to beat his time. After his ride Schwizer wanted to say only one thing: “I want to thank Jan Tops for what he does for the sport and for us. It is just perfect here. I have been around, but here there is tranquillity and no stress. Everything is very well organised by a good team. The facilities are really good and so are the footing and the courses. My compliments to Jan.”Scott Brash had to settle for the runner-up spot with Hello Franklin (AES, Billy Mexico x Goodtimes) and William Whitaker finished third with RMF Hortensia (SWB, Heartbeat x Strong Statement).
The Medium Tour (1.40m) was won by the USA’s Giavanna Rinaldi and Concuela. Runners-up were Holland’s Teddy van de Rijt and Itcho van ‘t Ruytershof followed by Gaj Riossa Gaesbekers Glamour Girl. Ireland’s Trevor Breen won the Small Tour with Lord Luidam.
