Release date: 07/05/2019
Italy’s Emanuele Gaudiano dominated the classes for young horses today. He won both the six and seven-year-old classes. In the seven-year-old division he had saddled the Oldenburg gelding Calgary and they were much faster than their opponents: they were over five seconds faster than runners-up Lars Pedersen and Boegegaarden Gladiola. He rode Nikolaj de Music (BWP by Kannan) to victory in the competition for six-year-olds, again with a very fast time. Runners-up were Emily Sage with I Am A Harley followed by Guy Janssens who, just like yesterday, finished in third place.Victory in the five-year-old division went to Vincent Zacharias Bourguigon and Classified SR for Morocco. Yesterday the combination finished in third place. Bourguigon is based in Herstelt, Belgium, where currently the whole Moroccan team is based, inclusive Abdelkebir Ouaddar, who won the Medium Tour of the CSI2* this morning. The Holstein-bred Classified SR (by Casall ASK) is at Vincent’s stables since December: “If this horse keep developing himself the way is doing now, he will become a world class horse. He is very careful, is very cooperative, has a good jumping technique and has a lot of power.” Runners-up were Dutch rider Teddy van de Rijt and Jeekels-K and Britain’s Emma Stoker finished in third place with Chico II.
