The world famous Italian course designer Uliano Vezzani builts 10 out of the 15 courses for the Longines Global Champions Tour and has worked with the Tour for 11 years. He is famous for his intuitive and intelligent Grand Prix courses. Uliano has also gained a lot of knowledge and experience as a rider. He clearly has a lot of passion for his work. “I think it is wonderful to built courses for the top riders, it gives me a lot of energy. They are like family to me and I value their opinion. The sport is developing very fast and the level is only getting higher. Therefore, it is very important to listen to the riders. I want to built fair courses for the horses so I need the riders’ input.” Uliano did not have to change much in the LGCT Grand Prix course after the main arena was covered with a new sand footing. “The new arena is beautiful, they really did a great job. Grass is super too, but very sensitive to weather conditions.”
