The main class of the CSI2*, all CSI1* classes and the six-year-old competition of today were won by ladies! In the main class, Big Tour 1.45m, it was the USA’s Emily Moffitt who took first prize with the nine-year-old mare Harriri (BWP, Nabab de Reve x Darco). The runner-up spot was for her compatriot Reed Kessler with the 13-year-old ISH gelding Cos I Can (Olympic Lux x Harlequin du Carel). Ireland’s Trevor Breen, married to Caroline, who won a class yesterday, finished in third place with Oldtown KC.
The Medium Tour class was won by Swiss Fabio Crotta and Casall de Fuyssieux Z. His nine-year-old stallion is by the famous stallion Casall who celebrated so many victories with Rolf-Göran Bengtsson. Malin Parmler (SWE) finished runner-up with Dagma. The Small Tour CSI2* class was won by Brazilian Eduardo Menezes and the eight-year-old gelding Quantador 3 (Westf, Quinta Real x Cornet Obolensky).
 
CSI1*
Anna Edwards and Chesterfield Z won the Big Tour competition (1.35m), just like they did yesterday. Runners-up were Belgium’s Ines van den Bosch and Watch Me (KWPN, Cantos x Wolfgang). Harrie Smolders finished in third with the nine-year-old stallion Hercules By Immofluisteraar (Larino x President). The Medium Tour competition went to the USA’s Kimberly Prince with RMF Snapchat (OLDBG, Carry Gold x Sandro). The Small Tour also went to a lady rider, Sophie Geurts from Belgium with Calida (HANN, Calido x Acord).
 
Young Horses
This morning the sand arena was the central stage for the young horses. The five-year-old competition was ruled by Diamant de Semilly offspring. Winners were Brecht Bille and the grey mare Bsharah (Diamant de Semilly x Rodney). This young horse is owned by Shaikha Latifa Bint Ahmad Al Maktou. Runners-up were Brian Cassidy (IRL) and Babel (Diamant de Semilly x Dollar du Murier) and Simon McCarthy and Bolero d’Armanville (Lauterbach x Diamant de Semilly) finished in third. In the six-year-old competition Emma Augier de Moussac repeated yesterday’s win with Brighton Bay. Runner-up was Britain’s Tim Wilks and Kay (by Echo van het Neerenbosch). Danielle Goldstein and Finn’s Pride (Querly x Elvis) finished in third. Danielle rides for Israel but lives in the USA and owns Starwyn Farms in Wellington, FL. Ireland’s Bertram Allen won the seven-year-old class with Etoile de Loma (Clinton x Heartbreaker). They were over 2 seconds faster than runners-up Steve Guerdat and Janus V (Namelus-R x Darco). Norway’s Espen K. Johansen and Larnaca (Aristo Z x Topas) finished in third place.
