Polo player at the age of 6 years old, his first success was in Washington where he won the Children’s Jumper Championship during the International Horse Show at the age of 12. He then decided showjumping was the sport he wanted to do.
Already very successful in children and junior showjumping classes, Spencer reached high level easily and entered his first 5* show in Wellington during the World Cup of 2014. 2018 got him to a whole new level as he won his first ever ranking class by laying down the only clear round in Horseware Ireland Grand Prix CSI 3* in Wellington in March. Few weeks before, he was clearing all the Young Riders Nations Cup classes and during the Summer, won three final in a row: CSI 2* of LGCT London, CSI 2* of LGCT Valkenswaard and CSI 4* of Valence by delivering only clear rounds.
Based at Eric Lamaze’s Torrey Pines farm, Spencer said the Eric changed his life.
