Alexander Housen is the son of international jumper Camilla Hauglin and veterinarian Wim Housen, who run the New Nordic Horses Stables in Meeuwen-Gruitrode in Belgium. Alexander has represented Belgium at the 2014 European Championships Children in Arezzo (team silver), the 2015, 2016 and 2017 European Pony Championships and the 2018 European Championships for Juniors (team gold).
