Russia’s Valeria Sokolova started riding at the age of nine. She always loved horses and asked her parents to take her to a riding club. She studied international business at the Schiller International University in Paris. Since 2012 she is trained by Dutch Ben Schröder and her dream is to once win a gold medal at the Olympic Games. She made her international debut in show jumping in 2000. She holds the title Candidate for Master of Sport in Russia.
