Sam was seven when he started riding. I went to a friend’s riding party and then never stopped. He was inspired to take up riding by watching prestigious events such as the Hickstead Derby and Olympia on Television as a child.
Sam is now based in The Netherlands at the Stal Tops. His career highlights include qualifying for the UK's Horse Of The Year Show for two years on a wildcard and going on to win his first international class there in 2010. Sam won the HOYS Leading Rider trophy in 2011. Sam's advice to young riders if to 'work hard, and take on board every bit of advice you are given'.
