Renowned for his incredibly quiet riding style, Germany's Marcus Ehning learned to ride aged seven and was very successful in Pony and Young Rider championships.
The former World Number One says: "At home we always had horses around and therefore it was easier to take up the sport. Show jumping is the most interesting part of equestrian sports, because you are able to ride quickly.”
Marcus has partnered two of show jumping's most talented and successful horses, For Pleasure and Sandro Boy. Marcus won an Olympic and World Championship Team Gold medal with For Pleasure and Plot Blue, and two European Team Gold medals with For Pleasure.
He is a German Nation's Cup team regular and has won the FEI World Cup Finals on three occasions with three different horses. Marcus' wife, Nadia, is a three-time World Champion vaulter.
