Profielen
Emilie Martinsen began riding as a child but did not consider a professional career until she was 16. Her parents bought her a pony when she was a girl so she could join them when they went hunting. She did not enjoy that much, so took up showjumping instead. Her most memorable sporting achievement is helping Denmark qualify for the Nations Cup Super League and winning the Danish Championship in 2010.
Emile represented Denmark in the 2011 European Championship and qualified for the 2012 FEI World Cup Finals. Her heroine is Meredith Michaels Beerbaum and she trains with American Norman Dello Joio. Emilie’s philosophy is ‘hard work pays off’.
