Jos Verlooy

Upcoming Belgian talent Jos Verlooy is one who holds his teammates in high regard as he joins the Antwerp Diamonds, with his strong formation of Harrie Smolders, Katharina Offel, Audrey Coulter and Marc Houtzager. Jos has already turned heads on the show jumping scene, winning Junior championships on both a Belgian and European level. A combination of hard work, great talent and amazing horses brought him up to the point where he is travelling the world to participate in competitions on the highest level and become the youngest rider ever to be qualified for the World Cup Finals in 2015.

Jos spoke of the opportunities the Global Champions League presents to young riders such as himself, and what it will mean to be part of a team with other talented athletes; “It’s a great team, and it’s good for me to take experience from the other riders. We’ll work together at the events which will be nice for me.

"It’s very good as it gives more people the chance to ride, and opportunities for young riders - it’s something new in the sport and I’m excited to be part of it."
