Ramzy (Hamad) Al Duhami (5 January 1972) competes for Saudi Arabia and comes from an equestrian family. His father had Arabian horses and Ramzy, together with his brothers, started his riding career with these horses. Ramzy is married and has one child. He studied Business Management at the University of San Diego, CA, USA. He made his international debut in 1990 (Yokohama, Japan). He broke his back at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney after his horse slipped. It took him five months to recover. He is a partner in one of Saudi Arabia's leading contracting companies and runs an equestrian business called Elite Horses in Saudi Arabia. His most memorable sporting achievement is without doubt winning the bronze team medal at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. He also competed at the Olympic Games in Atlanta (1996), Athens (2004) and Hong Kong (2008). He won individual and team gold at the 2010 Asian Games and team gold at the 2007 Pan-Arab Games and represented Saudi Arabia at the 2002 and 2010 World Equestrian Games and the 2006 World Cup Final.
