Meagan took up riding as a child on a quarter horse barrel racing pony. "The horses were always my life and they were all I thought about. I could not wait to get out to the barn every day after school." Meagan's most memorable moment in her career so far is showing for the first time in the Spruce Meadows International Ring. "It is something I will remember forever. I remember as a young girl watching Spruce Meadows Television during my summer holidays. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would actually make it, but I did."
She is coached by Kent Farrington. "He is not only my trainer, but also my friend and someone who I have a great deal of respect. He really understands how badly I want to be the very best I can be when it comes to my riding." In 2012 she was named Show Jumping Hall of Fame Rider of the Month for March and October. Her ambition is to To compete at a World Cup final.
