Beginning horseback riding in 1999 in Turkey, it was only 9 years later that Jamal would go on to participate in the Olympic Games in Hong Kong, an event he counts among his most memorable career moments to date. His best performances are winning the CSI4* Grand Prix in Moscow (2007), achieving a clear round in the 1st qualifier of the 2008 Olympic Games, winning the CSI4* Istanbul Grand Prix in 2008, finishing 6th at the Global Champions Tour CSI5* Grand Prix in Estoril (2010) and coming 3rd at the Aachen Olympic Trials Special Event in 2011. His favourite horses have been Hollywood IV and Aramis, because they were with him from childhood through to his Senior Olympic qualifying periods. The most influential figure in his life has been his father and his motto is “never give up and always try harder; nothing is impossible”. He describes Global Champions Tour as “the best riders, best horses, and the best organization with the best facilities”.
