Gerco Shröder began riding after some persuasion from his family: "I was occasionally put on a pony by my brothers and they said I should start riding. I agreed with them that I would ride until the riding club championships. In these championships I came third and I was hooked."
Gerco's motto is to ‘stay motivated, and always keep trying’. He cites winning the European Championships with his team in Aachen in 2006 as one of his most momentous career moments. In 2014, Gerco won a World Championship Team Gold medal.
Gerco says Berlin, Monaco, Milano VI, New Orleans, London and California as the best horses of his career and his parents have been his biggest influence.
He describes Global Champions Tour as simply ‘super’.
