Profiles
Roger-Yves Bost’s, or Bosty as he is affectionately know, began a career in show jumping because horses were his single biggest passion, and his supportive equestrian family remains his biggest influence to this day.
Following a collection of Young Rider Championship wins in his youth, Bosty has enjoyed a long and distinguished career. Famous for his unique riding style and his speed around a course, Bosty has enjoyed the patronage of Lady Georgina Forbes of Ireland since 2011 taking on her two top horses Castle Forbes Myrtille Paulois and Vivaldo.
Bosty is a regular fixture on the French international team and has collected 8 major championship medals during his career. In 2007, he was honoured for his achievements by the French government receiving the Chevalier du Merite Agricole and Palme d’Or. In 2013, Bosty and Myrtille Paulois won European Individual Gold in closely fought competition.
Bosty’s motto is ‘it’s never finished.’ Bosty has won nearly €4million in prize money during his career.
Bost has been competing in the LGCT since 2006
