Paulo Fernando de Miranda (16 November 1978), also known as Nando de Miranda, competes for Brasil but lives in Belgium. He is the younger brother of international show jumper Doda de Miranda. As a child he won the national championships title twice and in 1995 he won the South American Championships for Juniors. In 1996 he won the National Juniors Championship. In the 90s he travelled to Europe regularly to train with Nelson Pessoa. In 2002 he decided to dedicate his time to the music, his other passion, and interrupted his career for a couple of years. In 2009 he was back to the sport, and had some good results at national GPs and in 2012 he won the Todeschni GP in Porto Alegre. Then he decided to go back to Europe at the end of 2013 and started training with Jos Lansink. In 2014 he won the 2* Grand Prix of Saint Tropez with Scherzo des Isles. He founded the "De Miranda Sport Horses" stables and started a partnership with Haras Tok from Brazil, bringing top quality Brazilian horses to Europe.
