Karina Johannpeter

Karina Johannpeter (23 September 1983) rides for Brasil and lives in Ibbenburen, Germany. Her mother and her brother have both represented Brazil in show jumping at the Olympic Games. Her mother Christina competed at the 1988 Games in Seoul, while her brother Andre won bronze medals at the 1996 and 2000 Games. Karina studied Administration at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul in Porto Alegre. She lived in Bremen, Germany, between the ages of six and 16. In 2010 she moved to Ibbenburen, Germany, and is based at the E and K Sport Horses and Service Ltd. The facility was established by her partner Torben Kohlbrandt. She represented Brasil at the Pan-Am Games in 2003 and 2011 (team silver).
