Profiles
Andreas began riding at age six. His mother loved horses and he followed her example. Andreas was very successful in Juniors and Young Riders, competing at the Junior Europeans in 2004 and the Young Rider European Championships in 2006 and 2007. Andreas now runs Absolute Horses in Sommersted, Denmark, with his brother Christian. And their partner, the Hallundbæk Family. Absolute Horses are also joint owners of JBK Horseshows, a company that plans and arranges horse meetings.
He says there are many influential people in his life, but that his younger brother Christian is perhaps the most important. “We have ridden together forever and now we work alongside each other. Clearly this brings us closer together, even though our relationship gives rise to some spirited discussion.” He cites winning the 2010 Nations Cup in Barcelona, Spain as his most memorable sporting achievement, and his ambition is to win a medal at a major international event.
